Switching from Sage Pastel Partner (desktop) to Xero for a 15-user wholesale distributor?

We distribute electrical and hardware consumables out of Midrand with ~1,800 SKUs and 15 staff. Our server running desktop Pastel is 7 years old. Everyone raves about Xero for bank feeds, but how does Xero handle multi-warehouse inventory and backorders compared to Pastel?

@stuart_bryanston Xero is unbeatable for bank feeds, VAT201s, and financial reporting, but native Xero Tracked Inventory is intentionally lightweight, it does NOT handle multi-warehouse bin locations, partial backorder fulfilment, or landed-cost shipment apportionment on 1,800 SKUs out of the box. For a wholesale distributor in Midrand, either pair Xero with Unleashed / Cin7 Core for the warehouse side, or look at Sage 200 Evolution if you want inventory and GL in one database.

@anri_stellenbosch, Spot on from @xeroheroine_cpt. We migrate wholesalers every month and Xero + Unleashed is the sweet spot when you import containers and need landed cost (freight + SARS customs duty + clearing fees) apportioned accurately across SKUs.
