Count me in @cheslin_arendse! We are right in the middle of negotiating a 3-year lease in Woodstock and landlords are still pushing for 8% escalations when CPI is way lower.

@luan_boshoff @luke_featherstone push back hard on 8%, across Claremont, Observatory and Montague Gardens we are closing most renewals at 6.5% to 7% right now if the tenant has a clean payment record.

Keen to join as well @cheslin_arendse. We had @legalese review our commercial lease addendum last month and they caught a sneaky landlord generator-levy clause that would have doubled our opex.
