How are building and civil contractors across Gauteng and the Western Cape handling cement and reinforcing steel price validity on tenders that take 90 days to adjudicate? Good seeing reputable teams like @holistic pushing for proper CPA (Contract Price Adjustment) clauses on private builds too.

@willem_nel_bfn @hannes_joubert we limit fixed-price validity to 30 days on every private tender now, and specify Haylett/ CPAP indices for anything longer. Even on roofing and rainwater goods with suppliers like @longspangutters, locking in coil steel early via material-on-site certificates is the only way to protect margin.

@gqeberhamarine Agreed @centurionqs, Material on Site (MOS) payment certificates backed by cession of ownership are essential whenever lead times on aluminum or switchgear stretch past 6 weeks.
