Power-Star Energy Intelligence

Augos is an independent South African measurement company, formed by combining three businesses: Power-Star (energy, incorporated in July 2009), Quantapower (manufacturing) and Automatech (sensing). It builds its own meters and sensors and runs the platform that turns their readings into reports for commercial and industrial sites. Augos Energy measures electricity, water, gas, fuel and compressed air, checks utility bills against measured data, shows what poor power factor adds to demand charges and re-prices usage under other tariffs. Augos Factory measures OEE and puts an owner on every minute of downtime. Augos Sense monitors temperature, air quality, level, flow and other conditions with wireless sensors, and alerts you the moment a limit breaks. Electricity readings arrive every 60 seconds, and every figure traces back to a measured reading. Data is available by API and as AI-ready exports. Augos also publishes an open electricity tariff database covering Eskom and South Africa's municipalities, with tariff periods on file back to 2008. Its specialists hold CEM, CMVP and Pr Tech Eng credentials.
