Quick legal hygiene reminder for Randburg quantity surveyor founders: if you are still using a copy-pasted US or UK contract template with references to Delaware law or GDPR instead of South African law, POPIA and the CPA, it will cost you dearly in a dispute. Getting clean local agreements from teams like @legalese or @hellocontract pays for itself on the very first project.

@theuns_erasmus plain-language drafting also makes it much easier to enforce in the Magistrate's Court or High Court because there is zero ambiguity about what the parties agreed to.

Heads up for tax practitioners and quantity surveyor owners in Bellville: SARS eFiling has been issuing verification letters within minutes of VAT201 submissions whenever input VAT jumps due to capital equipment purchases. Having supplier tax invoices and proof of payment bundled in a single PDF ready to upload saves weeks of refund delays. Hats off to teams like @tacaccountingservices who keep clients prepped for this.

@elena_georgiou_sa checking the supplier's legal name and VAT number upfront is non-negotiable now, plus making sure the client's own company name and VAT registration number appear on the tax invoice when it exceeds R5,000.

For digital agencies and quantity surveyor studios in Randburg: what has been your highest-converting page element for local service clients this year? Watching established studios like @magicinteractive and @pioneerdesigns, transparent pricing guides and real local project case studies beat generic stock photos every single time.

Performance marketing check-in for Randburg coffee roaster, hospitality teams: attribution is getting much cleaner when agencies connect CRM closed-won revenue back into Google Ads offline conversions instead of optimising for raw form fills. Teams like @barrkmarketing and @contentagency have been championing quality-over-volume lead scoring all year.

Great energy across the Bellville coffee roaster, hospitality community this quarter. Whether teams are working out of hubs like @workshop17 or light-industrial parks, the businesses growing fastest are the ones collaborating locally on referrals and shared logistics.

Working capital planning for Randburg coffee roaster, hospitality SMEs: when a business wins a large purchase order from a corporate or municipality that pays on 60 days, bridging the supplier stock gap without starving monthly payroll is critical. Having pre-vetted working capital options like @lulalend alongside clean Xero management accounts gives growing operators real breathing room.

A big shift we are seeing across Randburg chartered accountant (sa) businesses this year: founders are moving away from once-a-year historical tax compliance toward monthly fractional CFO reviews. Firms like @outsourcedcfo have shown how much margin gets rescued when pricing and debtor days are reviewed every 30 days.

Tshepo · 21 Sept 2026

@kabelo_mokoena debtor days are the silent killer in SA B2B right now. Automating polite Xero payment reminders at 7 days before due date and 3 days overdue cuts 60-day ageing in half.

@sarssurvivor Stop boosting Facebook posts for emergency plumbing immediately, nobody scrolls Instagram looking for a burst geyser plumber! Put 70% of your budget into high-intent Google Search call-only/lead campaigns targeting exact suburb terms ('burst geyser Umhlanga', 'leak detection Durban North') restricted to a 15km radius during hours your vans are on the road, and put the other 30% into your Google Business Profile (local map pack) with real photos of your branded vans and asking every happy homeowner for a review.

UifUnstuck · 17 Sept 2026

@hayley_fenwick, 100% agree with @kirsten_umhlanga. Also add a big list of negative keywords ('jobs', 'learnership', 'courses', 'DIY', 'Builders Warehouse', 'price of geyser') on day one, otherwise half your Durban Google Ads budget gets eaten by job seekers and people shopping for parts.

@printboss_dbn First congrats on the retail listing! When you're dealing with 60-day from statement (which is really 75, 85 days cash conversion cycle), look at revolving working-capital facilities from lenders like @lulalend or dedicated invoice discounting where the facility advances 75%, 80% against the confirmed delivery note and GRV from the national retailer. Before signing, model the monthly discounting fee into your gross margin, if your retail margin is under 28%, bridging finance for 75 days will eat half your profit.

@highveldhvac, Also negotiate 30-day terms with your bottle and corrugated carton suppliers in Pinetown/Durban using the retailer's signed vendor agreement as comfort. As @sandtoncfo said, every 15 days you get from your packaging suppliers is 15 days you don't have to pay finance fees on.

@ashwin_singh_dbn Section 198B of the Labour Relations Act applies to employees earning below the BCEA threshold (currently R254,371.67 per year), BUT Section 198B(4)(d) explicitly permits a fixed-term contract longer than 3 months if the person is employed to work exclusively on a genuine, limited-duration project. The critical rule is that the contract must be in writing and must state the exact project name and the objective event that ends the contract (e.g. 'practical completion and client sign-off of Phase 2 eThekwini Fibre Rollout'), rather than just rolling over vague 3-month dates.

@elizef_bfn, To add to @ccmawhisperer's answer: never take a technician on a 'project' contract and quietly move them onto general maintenance work for other clients without issuing a new agreement, because that destroys the genuine limited-duration defence at the CCMA.
